Useful information needs a traceable source.
The approach used for the initial collection, and the editorial process proposed for ongoing publication.
Research assistance
Research and drafting may use AI assistance. Source links, dates and verification limits are provided so readers can examine the underlying material. A review date is not a claim of attorney, regulator or professional approval.
Sources first
Use government publications, enacted law, regulations, court documents and inspection records where available. News reporting may identify a development, but is labeled as reporting and linked to its publisher. We write short original summaries; we do not republish whole news articles.
Different records mean different things
- Reference guide: an explanation of standing guidance, not a claim that the law just changed.
- Announced change: identify the announcement date, effective date, covered group and important limitations.
- Proposed rule or bill: do not describe it as enacted or in effect.
- Reported lawsuit: distinguish allegations, responses, motions, decisions and settlements. Do not imply liability from the filing of a case.
- Inspection or citation: distinguish the inspection date, citation date, proposed penalty, any modified amount and final case status.
What gets recorded
Each item should retain its source link, publisher, source date when available, applicable effective date, editorial review date and verification limitations. Match named businesses to the right legal entity, worksite and case or inspection identifier before publishing record-specific conclusions.
Uncertainty stays visible
When the court record or outcome has not been checked, say so. When access is restricted or searches are incomplete, do not turn that gap into a finding that no record exists. Never rank a staffing partner’s compliance from an incomplete search.
Unverified litigation drafts are withheld from the public launch until the source record and relevant procedural status have been checked. The OSHA reading guide explains record interpretation. The separate Taylor Farms brief summarizes a dated official announcement; current inspection dispositions and final penalties remain unverified. Earlier cases are labeled and separated from recent announcements.
Updating and correcting
The current library is editor-managed; it is not a continuously monitored feed. New findings require a source check before publication. Material corrections should be dated and explain what changed, while keeping earlier context when useful.
Use the contact request form and begin your message with “Correction.” Identify the article, disputed statement, date and supporting source. Do not send confidential or privileged records. Requests are retained in the owner’s protected inbox, with email forwarding subject to provider acceptance and recipient activation.
TPS publication watch
The TPS page imports limited Federal Register publication metadata when opened or checked, with a cache of up to 15 minutes. Titles and publication dates are machine-imported and are not reviewed determinations of current legal effect. The feed does not track all court orders, USCIS country-page changes or E-Verify alerts. Source failures are shown explicitly. During an outage, a separately labeled October 26, 2026 publication snapshot remains searchable and is not described as a successful current retrieval. Dated editorial reference notes remain separate from the feed and require review when guidance changes. A notice date or headline alone must not determine an individual’s work authorization or employment action.
Commercial independence
Educational content should remain useful to readers who keep their existing staffing provider. Paid services and any future compensated referral relationships must be described clearly. A link or mention is not an endorsement, official approval, or finding about a business.
